When I started my journey here on Substack in early February I spotted an astrological pattern in Donald Trump’s family. I wrote a post about it where I listed the transits to the different family members and then speculated around what might happen – this post got a lot of attention, more than I had ever expected.
I picked a date for when all “the stuff” might happen – the 22nd of March, just before the eclipse on the 29th.
I thought the astrology possibly spoke of the loss of a father, something someone also alluded to on Reddit where the post was shared. And in the post I listed another assassination attempt, the 25th amendment or the beginning of a Trump dictatorship as possible outcomes. But, there are many different ways you can lose a father, you can lose him to his job, or to a political cause, or because of ill health.
I think many astrologers looking at the transits in that post would spot the same pattern as I did, and perhaps also come to the conclusion that something that would rock the Trump family to its core could happen around this time, something that would perhaps change the family system.
One possibility is that this is simply the second Trump presidency, but it could also be something else and yet to come.
So with that in mind. What is coming up next for Donald Trump?
Donald Trump has a few potentially interesting, potentially major transits coming up over the next two months. With the end of April and beginning of May being especially potent.
Uranus has just crossed his Midheaven for the third time, a shock to how he is seen in the world.
Mars is currently on his 11th house Venus in Cancer, highlighting his possibly protective instincts (Cancer) around friends and groups (11th house). It is a transit that could affect his relationships or his income (Venus), it is asking him to stand up and fight (Mars) and protect (Cancer) his friends and his group (11th).
Starting on the 24th of April and continuing until around the second week of May he will have Jupiter crossing his North Node and Sun in the 10th house and opposing his Moon in the 4th house.
The last time this happened was in May 2013. Around this time he won a civil case against an 87-year-old grandmother. He had been sued by Jacqueline Goldberg, who accused him of cheating her out of a condo in one of his skyscrapers in Chicago. “I think I had exposed him for what he is. I had to do it, I had to try”, she said after the verdict. That month it was also reported that Trump had spent $1 million on researching a presidential run in 2016.
The previous Jupiter conjunction to his Sun, North Node and opposition to his Moon was in June 2001. That year he completed Trump World Tower in Manhattan and in June he sold the 45th floor to Saudi Arabia for $4.5 million.
The time before that was in June 1989. And if you Google Trump and “June 1989” the first thing you see are reports of him praising China’s response to the Tiananmen square protests. In June 1989 he also launched his own airline “Trump Shuttle”, which was never profitable and seized operating three years later. He had bought the airline with loans from 22 different banks and defaulted on those loans in 1992, when he went bankrupt.
Trump’s natal Jupiter has often been described as “lucky” by astrologers as it trines his Sun and North Node and sextiles his Moon in his birth chart from the 2nd house of money and finances. And when it comes to money and business he has, somehow, been able to shake off bankruptcies and failures and scandals.
Looking at the previous Jupiter transits suggests this is not necessarily a period that can just be summed up by the term “lucky”. In 1989 the transit brought risky business ventures that crashed spectacularly a few years later, after Jupiter had crossed his Ascendant and moved into his first house.
Following the Jupiter transits in 2001 and 2013 he became a TV-personality hosting The Apprentice in the mid 2000s and then president for the first time in 2016.
And it's also worth keeping in mind that Jupiter isn’t necessarily always lucky. Sometimes it just makes things bigger. Or places something or someone in the spotlight.
And this spring, on the 11th and 12th of May, Mars will also cross Donald Trump’s 12th house Pluto. The planet of war and struggle crossing a 12th house Pluto can speak of a significant event related to war, trauma and death. Or it could suggest the person experiencing it will need to do some serious inner work, or stand up for themselves in some way. It could also speak of danger and violence.
The last time Mars crossed Trump’s Pluto was in June 2023, when he was indicted over his handling of classified documents. The time before that was at the end of June 2021, when he returned to the campaign trail with a rally in Ohio, suggesting he could run in 2024.
Before that was in July 2019, a few weeks after his Salute to America military parade. On the day of the Mars transit he held a rally where he targeted congresswoman Ilhan Omar and the crowd chanted “send her back”. And before that, in August 2017, he was widely criticised for his response to the far-right violence in Charlottsville, Virginia.
It seems as if this transit has been connected to times when he has had to fight, or he’s been seen as especially combative or aggressive. Or when he’s tapped into the ugly side of both Pluto and Mars in the collective unconscious (12th house)
During the last week of April and first week of May this spring, Uranus will also square Trump’s natal 12th house Mars from the 10th house. This could suggest a shocking event in his career sector, or a shocking and visible event (10th house) activating his natal Mars, his inner vitality and strength, in a possibly uncomfortable and challenging way.
In the middle of May Uranus moves onto squaring his Ascendant from the 10th house, so again, a shocking event in his career sector could challenge how he is seen, how he presents himself, or his health. As Uranus moves so slowly he has never experienced this particular transit before.

To sum it up. His astrology this spring can speak of a heightened self-confidence (Jupiter transit), the fighter in him being activated (Mars on Pluto) and him possibly, once again, tapping into and speaking to undercurrents in the collective unconscious (Pluto 12th).
A lot of it will probably be centered around money and finances as this is what his whole life has been about so far – and his natal Jupiter sits in his 2nd house. As wild-card Uranus is also involved, and will square his Ascendant, something shocking or unexpected will probably happen. But, this is Donald Trump, so perhaps that goes without saying.

At this point it is often good to also have a look at the progressions, to see if they support the above narrative or if they bring something new to the story. Progressions are often more of an internal process, they can speak of the chapters in the book of our lives.
At the moment Donald Trump’s progressed Mars is almost exactly on his natal Chiron, this will be exact in September. In the autumn his progressed Mercury will also cross his natal Mars.
Both of these are once in a lifetime events. With Mars on his inner Chiron, his inner warrior is meeting his inner wound in the 2nd house of finance. And later his mental focus (Mercury) will join his inner fighter (Mars) in the 12th house, the house of hospitals, prisons, self-undoing and of course also the collective unconscious.
Early next year the progressed Moon will cross his IC and move into the 4th house. This has happened before in 1998/1999 when he and Marla Maples divorced. And in 1971/1972, when his father made him president of the family company. The IC is the point that can represent the family, home and ancestry. The progressed Moon brings the emotional focus to this area of his life. Perhaps he will start thinking about his legacy, about which of his children will inherit his kingdom.
But, a lot can and probably will happen before next year. How will the US president handle it all?
Donald Trump had a Progressed New Moon in September 2019, the beginning of a new 30 year long chapter in his life.
This happened in Virgo in his first house, and it speaks of an underlying theme around physical health (Virgo, first house) or around how he sees himself in and presents himself to the world (first house). This could be a time for him to truly define who he is and who he wants to be.
What is interesting is that at 3 degrees of Virgo this Progressed New Moon doesn’t form any aspects to other points or planets in his chart. It is almost like this period is isolated from the rest of his chart and from his earlier life. Perhaps nothing that he has learned or done so far has quite helped prepare him for this. Maybe this period is isolated from what came before and from who he used to be. This Progressed New Moon doesn’t even make any aspects to the other progressed chart points. It is singular and on its own.
It makes me think of Bernadette Brady’s analysis of Napoleon Bonaparte in her book The Eagle and the Lark. In it she writes about how transits play out against the back-drop of progressions, and transits should, according to her, always be folded into the story of the progressions. The way I remember interpreting her take on astrology was that progressions are fate showing their hand, and it is very difficult to go against them.
Napoleon had his progressed Moon in its balsamic phase, the end of a cycle, and in the 12th house when he was imprisoned on Saint Helena towards the end of his life. According to Brady, his progressions and transits at this time were telling him to let go and to retreat.
She writes: “Napoleon needs to let go. If he can do this, then all may be well.”
He didn’t, and instead found himself exiled on a small island until his death.
Donald Trump’s progressions are not as clear and simple as that. But the above transits still need to be interpreted against the backdrop of his progressed chart.
He is in the very beginning of a new cycle, which started with that isolated Progressed New Moon in Virgo in the first house.
The best expression of this new Moon and the underlying theme for this period is for him to use his willpower and ego (first house) to be of service (Virgo). Whether that is likely to happen or not is perhaps something we can all make up our own minds about.
The progressed Sun will stay in his first house for another 20 years. His progressed Moon, his emotional focus, is coming to the end of its transit in the 3rd house of the media and communication, and as mentioned, moves into his 4th house of home and family next year.
And his Progressed New Moon at 3 degrees Virgo will form the apex of a yod from Neptune at 3 degrees Aries in his 8th house and Pluto at 3’10 Aquarius in his 6th house at the end of September 2026. It will be interesting to see if anything happens then.
But, let’s finish this post by returning to the transits this spring. I have a new date in mind – the 12th of May 2025.
On this day Donald Trump will have Mars on his Pluto, Jupiter having just passed his Sun, Uranus squaring his natal Mars and Venus just about to cross the 29th of March eclipse point at 9 degrees Aries.
Could that be a significant moment? A day when something happens?
I don’t know. But perhaps watching it will teach me, and you, something about astrology and predictive work.

That’s really interesting, despite his appearance as bullet proof and Teflon coated, nearly all tarot readers (me included) don’t see him lasting until the end of the year. I do wonder what will happen next?
The Simpson's has predicted he will die April 25, 2025...they have a good track record with their predictions!🤞🙏🤞🙏
